Looking for a reason to show off your precious pets? March with us in the Science Spectrum Pet Parade & Costume Contest located in the Science Spectrum Museum parking lot on May 11th from 2pm-3pm!

In celebration of the current traveling exhibit, Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition, the Science Spectrum is inviting the community to show off their pets in a Pet Parade! Participants will enjoy TWO FREE tickets to Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition good through June 2nd! The parade will step off at 2:00pm, and participants should arrive at 1:30pm to get checked in. Participants can also enjoy different checkpoints along the parade route such as a photo booth, human and pet treats, and crafts to help cheer your favorite pet on! Contestants will be judged in categories such as: Owner-Pet Look Alike, Most Unique Pet, Iconic Duo, and more! Those wanting to participate in the Parade can sign up for FREE below.

All pets participating must be well-behaved and all contestants should have family friendly costumes or themes. Cats and dogs must be on a leash, and all other pets must be held or in an enclosure. Participating pets must be fully vaccinated and must have current city/county tags. Science Spectrum politely requests that no public pets enter the Science Spectrum building due to the presence of trained professional dogs with South Plains Obedience Training Club and Heart of the Plains Kennel Club.
Visitors not participating in the parade are welcome to come and watch. Visitors will, on this date, will be able to purchase tickets to Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition at a special discounted rate of $3 per person!

Also, don’t miss the South Plains Obedience Training Club and The Heart of the Plains Kennel Club only inside Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition from 1:00pm-4:00pm this same day! These talented pups will be demonstrating their skills in agility, dancing, and scent work! Tickets to Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition are required for this experience.

Enjoy family friendly fun in Cats & Dogs: The Exhibition. Kids ages 2 and up, as well as adults alike, will have fun testing jumping skills or weaving through the agility poles, and timing themselves to see who is as fast as “Fido”. Entertaining learning stations, exciting games and videos make the “secret lives” of pets come alive. Find out about different and unique breeds of dogs and cats and why we love them so much!
